Well what can I say? My name is BLEN 167, I’m originally from the Bronx, NYC but I moved to PR in 1992/ 1993. Graffiti for me has been my open door for many things such as my profession, tattoos. I’ve been tattooing since 1999. I’m down with tons of crews so ill just mention some for the record: BNA KD, OTB, KAOS inc, FUA, KGB, NARVALOW, DWA, etc. I did my thing in NYC from 88 to 92, doing roof tops and some walls but didn’t really do anything big until I moved to Puerto Rico.

   
 The island was an open ground for anything. When I got there I think there were maybe 5 writers on the whole island. Graff grew but died down in 1996 after that there was a huge exploitation when TESE BNA BTA came to the island from Chicago. He basically tore up the island. Then came the 3rd boom of writers and it’s been non stop ever since. There is a lack of style and hand styles, but I think every country has that issue. I do 2 events yearly. One is Puerto Rico’s hip hop festival. We only take 6 to 10 of the islands top writers to expose their talent. The second event is express your skills. There we invite international and local artists to rock walls together. For me it was a chance to rock some walls with some writers I like TC5, THE MAC, EWOK,etc. As for me, ill rock any wall I can and ill paint with anyone. Recently I went to Europe for a small tour to France, Spain, Switzerland, and Germany.

     

There I rocked with some great guys. Like old school train writer COLORS , REST, and KONGO of the MAC Crew from France, and DISCO from the NARVA LOW Crew, in Spain with CHAN of the MAC crew , and BLOOD LINE Crew in lliedas Meeting Of Style s Germany was with the YARD 5 writer team , FOK, KENT, PHOS, POET, GAME, CREN, SCOTTY, and many more all together I loved my trip and will be back in November to bring some Bx/ Pr flavor. As for Puerto Rico, I’ll continue to rock my island beach front walls and keep doing my thing in the streets with my tags and throwies.
