The following is a short piece written by a friend of mine about
graffiti artists Banksy and Robbo fighting for their pride. You can
find the original article here, which should provide some backstory. Enjoy! Streaks of orange, red and black tagging,
with a yellow background to highlight the age old dichotomy between
passion and purpose- from prose to paints. Is the love of the game
enough to conquer the quest for the dollar? In London, where
dollars are pounds and vandalism is dollars,... Continue reading ...

Melbourne-based graffiti artist Buff Diss is on a mission to find
the perfect place for his graffiti so that it completes and complements
what is already there: A friendly hand lending a match to light a
random pile of wood, the same hand now shattering a brick wall, adding

gate. And local authorities are not too upse... Continue reading ...

This graffiti in New Brunswick features bright colors and curvy designs.
By Lauren Runza
Graffiti has been considered a blight to the cities that find their
buildings and transit systems marked by copious amounts of paint. Laws
are becoming more stringent in regards to graffiti. For example,
Chicago recently passed a ban on the purchase or possession of spray
paint by young adults.
Not everyone, however, sees graffiti in such a negative light. To
many, it’s a form of public art. These diffe... Continue reading ...

the 26-year-old’s eyes. Urban culture — a term often used to describe

DIY graffiti doesn’t have to be ugly– it can be thought-provoking, challenging, and perhaps most importantly, temporary. Jesse Graves, an artist based in Milwaukee Wisconsin, has harnessed mud as an artistic medium to take his green graffiti to the streets, and he encourages others to do the same.
Graves’ graffiti, which includes images of bicycles, bottles of oil, and cows, uses mud stencils to promote messages of social justice. Why mud? According to... Continue reading ...
