If approved
the penalty for a first offense for an act of graffiti or possession of graffiti
instruments would be a fine between 500 to 1000 dollars plus repair of the
damages to the property.
A second offense for either would result in the
fine being doubled.
Fines would also include community service with a
minimum or 100 hours.
A final decision will be made on April 27th
On April 1st Newark police made two arrests in connection with graffiti
vandalism in Newark and are continuing their search.
