THE cheeky Worle artist who managed to sneak one of his paintings into
a Banksy exhibition last year is back with some wacky cat inspired
paintings.
Adam Mclevey, aged 33, has painted three large-scale pieces depicting some of Bristol's key landmarks.
The 6ft by 4ft paintings have been such a success that they have been
leased through local arts company Upfest to the University of Bristol.
The huge canvas pictures will now hang in the Hiatt Baker student halls of residence.
The pieces reflect Adam's combination of fine art detailing and bold graffiti-influenced structure.
He
said: "I wanted this to capture and symbolise the way that the
neighbourhood is always changing and evolving through street art and
graffiti."
Adam was also responsible for the graffiti piece in Castle Batch, off Magdalene Way, Worle.
He spray painted a monkey, with the caption 'wot no museum?' onto the shipping containers in the corner of the green last year.
He said the caption had many meanings but was linked to the uncertain future of the North Somerset Museum.
